About

Lisa Smith is from Memphis, TN. She recently wrote a financial plan workbook called "Well of Wealth". She has lived in Los Angeles and Nashville. While living in Los Angeles, Lisa completed the Los Angeles Marathon twice. LA is where she started her tech career as a front-end engineer, working for many tech and entertainment companies. Later, she moved into the role of UX Design in Nashville. She has a passion for composing music for indie artists and filmmakers. She also plays a mean rhythm guitar.

Growing up in Memphis had challenges, but it shaped her positive perspective. Her mother, Deloris, worked as a teacher's aide and was known for creating beautiful bulletin boards that won art awards. Her love for the arts was inspired by her late father, Nelson Smith, a skillful multi-discipline artist. As a child, she enjoyed watching him paint and create sculptures.

Lisa fell in love with computers and photography and quickly realized she wanted to merge the two. She attended a local college and took a computer and photography course. Later, she earned a degree in Graphic Design from Austin Peay State University, where she found her creative and techie side and loved the way she could use the computer to manipulate images.

Lisa learned firsthand how important it is to serve customers' needs first! She worked her first job at her late Uncle Bobo and his daughter Tarica, both famous BBQ chefs, at their restaurant on Beale Street called "The Gay Hawk" and "Bobo's Catering." This historical district in Memphis, TN, is where many celebrities, socialites, and political figures would mingle.

Through it all, she has remained a person-centered guru who loves music and constantly grows through learning and challenging herself.
